Design   We design software at two levels: the user interface and the architectural underpinnings.

  User interface

When the way that software interacts with you is badly designed, using it becomes difficult and frustrating. Good user interfaces are easy to use without sacrificing power. They blend invisibly into the background.

It pays to spend an inordinate amount of time and money on designing user interfaces. That's because badly designed interfaces cost your company money; tasks involving the software take longer and bad design encourages you to make errors.

We have a great deal of experience in designing user interfaces. Our team members have designed software for children who are the probably the most difficult group to design for. We've also designed software for business, and web sites. If we ever had to make a choice we would focus on usability over presentation style.

Architecture   The architecture of a piece of software is the underpinning that supports the way that a user interacts with software and the the way that it accomplishes its tasks. A good architecture ensures that your software is robust, allows for expansion, and enables you to build on your investment in the future. A bad architecture almost always means that your software is inflexible and that you will need to start again sooner rather than later.

We understand architecture. We use sound techniques to design the invisible layers that support your user experience.
